According to the ONDCP two-thirds of the Mexican drug cartel's incomes come from selling marijuana in the U.S. To protect this income the cartels murdered more than 6,000 people last year and are on track to kill at least 7,000 this year. Many of their victims are children, police officers and politicians.

The keeping marijuana in Schedule I prevents legitimate U.S. businesses from undercutting the cartel's marijuana prices, eliminating this income and ending their ability and reason to commit these murders.

The cartels can't stop these murders by themselves!

It's imperative that *we* act now to encourage Congress to legalize the commercial production and sale of marijuana to adults in the U.S. This is our duty to the children who will otherwise be brutally murdered by the cartels next year!
