Orexin (NOT available yet)

Now under development at Glaxo Smith Kline is a drug that may treat sleep disorders and even provide wakefulness under normal circumstances. Orexin-A was a compound recently discoverd in rat brain research. Orexin appears to control sleep functions in the brain, and rats given extra doses of Orexin overcame sleep depravation with few if any side effects other than increased appetite.
